The CIU is installed in customer's premise, it is kept away from the meter reduce the risk of tamper and fraud proof, customer can know the meter's data credit status and historical usage date from the LCD of CIU. This split type mechanism serves best in tamper rampent areas. Any mess with CIU will not damage the meter while the CIU is in wireless connection with the meter.
